The Burnham and Berrow Golf Club

The Burnham and Berrow Golf Club is located in South West England and is one of England's famous links courses. The Club was founded in 1890 and venue for over 100 years of English Amateur and International Championships, from the British Ladies in 1906 to the English Amateur in 2006. Designed principally by renowned golf course architect Harry Colt, the club has two championship golf courses - 'The Championship Course' and the 'Channel Course'. Dr Alister Mackenzie and Harold Hilton also played an important part in improving the links in the course's early years.

As with all links golf the challenging factor is the wind and its unpredictability, which means that the course can play differently almost every day. The greens are renowned as true and quick and the course is guaranteed to be in good condition all year. Excellent drainage due to the sandy subsoil ensures that the course is rarely if ever closed. The course demands that you use almost every club in the bag and the experience is memorable and always a challenge.
