The course was created in 1990 by the American architect Robin Nelson and the French landscape gardener Thierry Huau who has maintained the natural beauty of the site. Please note that the course has been modified and the two new holes (12 and 13) were designed by the French architect Jean Manuel Rossi.

A large variety of trees such as oak, elm, ash, apple trees (symbol of the Calvados country) surrounds the fairways, where remain some piece of wall of the Marquis de Lassay’s castle.

Deauville is one of the most exclusive golf course in Normandy where many foreign golfers come from all over the world to enjoy golf, relax and …gambling at the famous casino.

Situated at the top of Etretat’s cliffs and overlooking the worldwide known natural arches in the cliffs (Aiguille Creuse), this outstanding golf course is considered as one of the most spectacular in Europe.

Like all the authentic links, Etretat Golf Course offers windy conditions and dreadful gorse surrounding some of the fairways requiring long and straight iron shots, which represent a tough challenge for the golfers. Even though you have reached the green, the difficulties remain with the up and down slopes and the flagsticks bending in the gusts.

Within 20 miles only from Paris Notre Dame church, one can easily think oneself in Ireland with this Irish links design, even more Irish when the wind blows. Under these conditions, the Albatross course can be considered as one of the toughest course in Europe where playing one’s handicap is a great performance.

The finish on the 18th hole, a short par 5 with water hazard in front of the green, remains a fantastic challenge for those who would attempt to reach it in two strokes.
