I was lucky enough to be part of GOLFSelect’s recent Scotland golfing trip, culminating in two days (including the final day) at The British Open at Carnoustie. Apart from the wonderful courses we played, and the thrill of seeing The Open, a highlight of the trip was the camaraderie amongst our group, most of whom did not know each other before the trip commenced. Imagine this, you've just worked out how to find seven days holiday combined with a three day seminar and you need to travel on a round trip 2500kms?
Some of you may go to a last minute.com or something like that only to find that at last minute they need two weeks to organise a mini holiday, then you pick up the phone and ring GOLFSelect and ask Gary can he organise accommodation in the city and then get you onto some of Australia's finest sandbelt golf courses.
The reply is a courteous The reply is a courteous "yes mate, Matt will contact you to get your dates and locations and leave it to us".
Within two hours I had confirmation of accommodation and course locations with booking times to be confirmed over the next 24hrs, from that point on all contact was done via email and mobile phone and I set out on a very memorable motoring holiday.
On check in at our Melbourne Hotel a parcel was given to me with instructions, a bound itinerary and maps precisely giving driving instructions, distances, turns offs and exact directions to be there on time for Tee - Off.
The Package for two people, ten games, electric carts and great Tee times was reasonable and turned out to be great value compared to a DIY holiday.
Along the way Matthew contacted me by phone to check that I was happy and if there was anything else they could do to make my trip and holiday more enjoyable.
Funny things always happen to well laid plans, I contacted Matt and asked him if there any way of trading an unused Tee time for another Tee time at another course, this became the highlight of the trip as a new Tee time was organised on the National Golf Course early morning and I squeezed in a last 16 holes prior to a 1:00pm Matinee session of Ben Elton's "We Will Rock You".
The following day on our way back home we reflected on the past 8 days and concluded it was one of the most memorable and well organised golf holidays we have been on. Thanks again to GOLFSelect!

I have had the good fortune to use GOLFSelect's services on two recent occasions. for a personal golf trip and for a foursome of over-the-hill alpha male choppers from Chicago Golf Club.
This latter group has combined golf experience of nearly 200 years, enjoys regular play at their much-revered home course, has played great courses all over the world, and, quite naturally for quasi-retired geezers, expects everything to be perfect or better !!!
Except for me, none had ever played golf in Australia. All were missing their anchovy-stuffed olives in Ketel One martinis and were just waiting for any excuse to bash me for having seduced them into traveling halfway around the world to play golf in a country they didn't know had any golf courses !!! Let's just say the margin for error was pretty slim !!! 10 days, 11 courses, 16 rounds and three very surprised and satisfied golfers returned as converts (not convicts) ! I, of course, was already a convert based on my previous outing. Gary and his people know the courses, know the people at the courses, understand the travel logistics and all the other details to package a perfect golf odyssey or single-day outing. He adds to that his genuinely personal and amiable service and he is always available to deal with the inevitable changes. I recommend GOLFSelect unequivocally!

They made reservations for us at 14 different courses in Australia, all with golf carts which are tough to come by, gave us a GPS system that covered every airport, golf course and hotel on the trip that did not get us lost even once.
When I overpaid him by mistake in US Dollars instead of Australian Dollars, he refunded the money immediately and I would never have caught my own mistake.

As for the golf, it was consistently sublime; and starting our holiday in Tasmania was definitely the right choice, as the Barnbougle Dunes and Lost Farm property proved to be an escape for the ages.
Our experience in Melbourne was just as incredible; Kingston Heath set a new standard for course conditions and hospitality, Royal Melbourne East and West were simply epic, the Moonah course at the National Golf Club was positively relentless, and the Old Course at the National Golf Club retained its coveted position as our absolute favorite!
Much to our delight, the golf in Sydney was also fantastic; Royal Sydney had us recalling Riviera in Los Angeles, and New South Wales had us seriously considering extending our trip!
